The Quake Champions Beta is here and everyone is trying to kill each other at the same time. This is putting a huge load on the servers and testing the network bandwidth of the enter system.
If you are having connection issues with Quake Champions then you need to setup a port forward in your router.
The idea behind a port forward is that it ensures that the traffic from the internet is routed properly to your gaming console or PC. This helps with many issues, such as:
- Not being able to get any kills, or very low kill count.
- Frequent connection drops.
- Not being able to join a match or getting kicked from lobbies.
Usually setting up a port forward in your router will make most of these problems go away.
Forwarding Ports for Quake Champions
The first step to improve your connection for Quake Champions is setting up a port forward in your router. The forwarded port needs to point at your Xbox One, PS4, or PC so be sure to follow the correct guide depending on which console you are using.
